«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 215 Newer› Newest»I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THE CLINTONS WILL NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR AGREEMENTS: 1. QUIT IF THEY DO NOT WIN OHIO AND TEXAS BY A LARGE MARGIN. 2. START TROUBLE WITH FL. AND MI. VOTES 3. DRAG THIS OUT TILL THE CONVENTION. 4. THE SUPER DELAGATES CAN NOT DECIDE THIS RACE. IF THEY DO, I AM NOT VOTING IN NOVEMBER. I HOPE THE PEOPLE VOICES WILL BE HEARD!!
Invite the candidates on your show and ask them what they are actually going to do about the continuing of the fuel prices, they and the commodity exchange CAN STOP the high fuel prices dead in its tracks if they really want to. Ask them that question in front of you viewers and watch them squirm. They do get monies from the oil companies. That issue is whats killing our economy and that issue is what the american people talk about every day.
Larry I think the country should be reminded that when President George Bush first went into office he tried to explain the energy situation we were in. He told the country we had not built a refinery in 30 years and we needed more drilling so we would not have to depend so much on importing so much of our fuel.If congress and the American people would have listened then we would not be in the situation we are in now.I think congress should listen to him now or it will only get worse. The price of fuel has a trickle effect on the entire economy
Larry, I think the alternative fuels are a good idea.I also think with our modern technology we should be leading the world with the most advanced refinerys and oil drilling. We could not only supply our own needs but we could be selling the excess.Imagine what that could do for our economy. There are many jobs relateted to the oil Ind.The extra revenue could also help our Goverment and they could cut taxes on the american people. We use to lead the world in most everything. I feel we are falling behind on this one, and it is a big one.
Larry, First I think the strategic oil reserve should not be used to lower prices at the pump.It is for national emergencys. If something happened and the tankers could not get us our fuel.We need that for our milatary to do what the presidents first priority is.Keeping our country safe. This windfall tax will not lower gas and giving the american people $1000. PER FAMILY IS JUST TRYING TO BUY VOTES.The big Oil companys need to have tax breaks. They spend huge amounts of money on research and exploration. We need to help them so they can help us.They also owe it to their stock holders to try to make a profit.People invest in these companys hoping to make money in the future. We can not make it harder on them than the other countrys oil companys who we buy oil from when we should be selling them fuel instead of buying theirs. There will be a large demand for oil wordwide even once we've gained our energy indepence. If we keep working on alternatives and produce as much oil as we can and keep technology working on all fronts,we can fix our economy, help the american people prosper, and show the world that we our the Geat Nation that we have been and still the Land of oppertunity. We need to use common sense. Oil works AND WILL BE SLOW AND HARD TO BREAK AWAY FROM.WORKING ON MAKING IT A CLEANER PROCESS AND MORE ENVIREMENTALY SAFER SHOULD BE ONE OF THE PRIORTYS .BUT PRODUCING ENOUGH FOR OUR OWN COUNTRYNEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED NOW .If we wait to long we will become a poor nation and I don't think that is what we want.
Larry, The day the President announced he was lifting the Federal ban on drilling on the outer continental shelve oil prices started dropping. They are still dropping today. That is the phycological effect they were talking about. If Congress could get their act together and open offshore,Anwar and any other good potential sites The rest of the world would know we are serious and prices would drop even more before we even started producing in these areas
I think it very admirable that T boon Pickens is trying to come up with a solution in time to save us. I would think the first thing we need to do, is control our borders, eliminate free goods and services to those who break our laws and quit handing out citizenship to those born of illegal citizens
second, we should take the reagan approach to our lawmakers who choose to go on vacation over accomplishing tasks requireing immediate attention. which would be to tell them they are no longer needed they have been replaced, and do so with half the numbers.
third, get rid of republican/democrat parties and come up with something such as the "american party" and simply replace anyone who would not be willing to put the countries well being ahead of their own, such as is done to anyone else who blatently refuses to do their job.
then, do what mr. Pickens has suggested with the quick fix natural gas transportation and last but not least, we as Americans need to take responsibility for our own tire pressure and tuneups and make certain that our publicl officials and lawmakers are required to obay the same laws that they insist we obey.I truly believe the social sec. crisis could be solved simply by saying keep your hands out of the till. If we did these things, I am certain we can balance the budget in a year.
I am very upset with Larry King tonight 8/13 as the Obama Nation author was on. The other person who is the MOUTH did not let Jerome Corsi speak. Nor did Larry King intervene. I wanted answers to references of a Marxist mentor Obama had as a youth and I did not get any answers as to Obama and all the Marxist ties he seems to lean towards. Therefore, My Democratic vote goes to McCain. Being a democrat since I saw JFK at the Elmhurst College, Ill.,I am not convinced about Obama and Obama mania. We need answers and just denouncing everyone he knows is just not getting it. Larry King did not do his job or did he by letting the MOUTH do all the talking. Obama Nation brings up some info and I want to know the referenced material. The book has some credence to it.
I watched Larry King tonight 8/13 and the author Obama Nation did not even get a comment in. I wanted to know more about the Marxist ties Obama had even in his youth. Thanks to the LOUD MOUTH I did not get any answers. Larry King did nothing to stop the MOUTH. So I guess I as a democrat for 48 yrs will vote for McCain. I will not listen to all the denouncing Obama has done I want the facts, and due to MOUTH I still have no answers. Thanks Larry King for the lousy TV PROGRAM that I wasted my time watching.

With all due respect, I am fuming!
Rick Warren is a hypocrite as is McCain.
How can one be pro-life and pro-war?
I guess it's ok to kill as long as it's for what they believe.
So is it ok to kill babies in foreign countries but no fetuses in our country?
I am disgusted, and I am a Christians, at questioning by hypocrites like Rick Warren.
Religion has no business in politics.
Warren's church should be taxed as a business that pushes their own agenda in the name of faith.
Shame on Rick Warren.
The only one who played the character and cast was McCain and Warren.
If Rick Warren where to ask me what I like and don't like I would tell him: I don't like is brand Christianity. IT IS EVIL. And most of all I don't like hypocrisy. I like what Christ taught.
So Warren saw the master lier "tear" ba, ba, ba, black sheep. You have no wool because you are a wolf.
The bottom line is Obama loses without Hillary Clinton as VP. You can spin it all you like, that's what the polls have said for months and still say. Biden, Bayh, Kaine -- not a game changer among them. None but Hillary will swing enough votes or states to pull Obama up. As a Hillary voter, it's a win/win situation for us. We'll be back in 2012 if she's not VP because Obama never will get in the White House. If she is VP, as I dreamed tonight, I've discovered I suddenly would be delighted to vote for Obama!
I am thrilled about the Obama-Biden ticket!
Biden is the perfect compliment to Obama.
If this team does not easily defeat the likes of "quickdraw" McCain, I assume it will be because of the racism that still, unfortunately exists in this country.
The United States of America DESPERATELY needs the changes Obama is proposing.
Alan Little, State College PA
We are thrilled with Obama's choice of a Vice Presidential running mate. Joe Biden brings a breadth of experience to the ticket which will serve this country well. Hurray for Joe Biden!!
QUESTION FOR CLINTIONS SUPPORTERS IF YOU HONESTLY SUPPORTED HER BUT SHE WAS NOT NOMINATED AND SHE HAS URGED YOU TO SUPPORT OBAMA TO LET THEIR PARTY WIN, IS IT NOT RIGHT THAT YOU DO SO INSTEAD OF GOING TO MACAIN WHO STAND FOR EVERY THAT SHE IS AGAINST.AMERICANS SHOULD KNOW BETTER NOW.
LARRY I HAVE BEING WATCHING YOUR SHOW FOR YEARS AND I REALLY LIKE THE WAY YOU HIT THE POINT BUT WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND IS WHY AMERICANS ARE GETTING CARRIED AWAY BY MACAIN POLICIES THAT INVOLVES WARS,PROBLEM IN LONG TEAM JUST LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW WITH BUSH.I REALLY THINK THAT OBAMA IS A WISE MAN WHO WILL MAKE A GOOD PRESIDENT AND AVOID WAR AND ALL THESE BLOOD SHEDING.
I watched Obama's speech. I have voted with the Democratic party for over 30 years. I will be voting for John McCain. I think Obama lies when he can get away with it, distorts the truth when he can't get away with lies. He doesn't mean anything he says. Two times tonight he said "we are our brothers' keeper"....how does he keep his brother? If he doesn't care about his own brother, who could he care about? HIMSELF
No, despite the beautific smiles and amazing speeches, I will not be voting for Obama/Biden. I've been waiting too long for McCain to win the nomination (which should have been eight years ago)!!! Experience, good judgment--need I say more? I did not vote for Bush and I suggest that all of you who DID should quit bitching. I suppose you same people are now going to vote for Obama, thinking you'll correct your mistake. Go ahead, but you're being stupid...yet again. Try using your brain (you can do it!) and not your emotions this time.
I really concern about the direction of our country, I am a Democratic who was about to vote Republican but now I am more confused with the VP selection, how you can serve your home of five young kids and a husband and at the same time 620 +- million people? Very smart lady, but we have a candidate who is old, with a cancer history, are we going some where? how? this is irresponsable, crazy. I am petrify
But I am positive!!! Sandra Furht
I am very disappointed in the Republican V.P. choice. Sarah Palin has no experience but is good to look at! The Republicans are making a big mistake in thinking that women will vote for this V.P. choice. I am Republican but will vote for Obama and his V.P. choice, Biden, who is much more experienced.
I as a card carrying Democrate who now has someone to vote for now that Sarah has joined the ticket. I was going to write in Hillary. I am a retired Army officer with 23 yrs of service and never thought I would hate the DNC and their sponcer of an inadequate pick of the empty suit of Obama. Roe V Wade is my last concern and don't feel Mc Cain will work to overturn it. He needs to pay off our debt and bring our troops home with honor more pressing problems.
I have lost any respect I had for McCain. The only apparent reason he chose Palin is because she is a woman and he thinks that the women who voted for Senator Clinton will voted for her. No way! She is no Hillary Clinton. We voted for Hillary because of her experience, her intelligence, and the what she would work for if she were elected. We are now voting for Obama for the same reasons. In Obama and Biden, we democrats have intelligent, astute, and competent men who will accomplish a great deal for this country. Palin has been governor less than two years and mayor over a small town. In Miami, we had high schools almost as large as that. As an African American in this country, it is phenomenal that he was able to pull together millions of supporters of all racial and ethnic groups. He is more than capable in order to get nominated. You can't fool that many people. We are not stupid. As for Obama not having executive experience, neither does McCain. President John F. Kennedy did not have executive experience either; yet he is rightfully revered as one of our greatest presidents. He did the job until he was killed. Now we will work harder to get Obama elected. Thank McCain for helping us to win this election for the people and Obama.
Obama has lost his way, I thought he had it all the way, but it became obvious he needed Hillary and he let his pride get in the way of a killer ticket, of course I probably wouldn't have voted for them. But they would have really whooped up on McCain. Now MCCain makes the wise choice to pick a Woman as VP but not only cause she is a woman but she is a genuine person. She will bring authenticity and independent thinking to his campaign smart choice. McCain is hitting the Dems hard now, his PR/Marketing/Ad team deserves a raise wow.. Of course I am a Ron Paul man myself. Less government is the key! We need more access for independent parties then we will get real results and choices. Both sides are so politically expedient and selfish they would kill their own Grandma to get in. We need real people not politicians. Good Luck!
Re:Palin for V.P.
Which party is McCain working for!!?
Same old Republicans, same old politics. No way, no how, no McCain...
I've watched both the Dem and GOP conventions. Both canidates made excellent speeches. Both canidates talked about what their plans were for the country. I guess something that has really concerned me was the fact that a point was brought up that each opponent brought up the fact of crossing party line to work in the senate. If that is true--why didn't or couldn't Obama go to his pastor of 20 years and work out all that rederick at the first of his campaigning? If the man couldn't go and talk to a good friend and almost family member-how will be be able to talk to heads of state and even to a cabinet. God bless America and John McCain---Jeanette
I watched the Republican convention tonight and was very impressed ,I think Mc Cain and Palin are a winning ticket ,Iam so afraid if Oboma gets Elected he will get us into a war with Russia ,like Kennedy almost did ,Obama has NO! exsperience in Foriegn policy ,There are so many issues to do with foriegn policy ,We can't have someone with no exsperience in the white house ,Plus every thing the Demacrats say are lyes ,they couldn't tell the truth if there life deppended on it!
Anyone! who Thinks! , Mccain picked Palin just because she's a woman is a idiot!,and Nieve!,Obama! has NO! exsperience ,
Larry the thing that elects a President is the Main Stream Media. If all Journalist did their jobs objectively, without no political leanings either way. There would have never had been any Bush in the White House. I truly want the best leadership for the country and I want America to rightfully take it's place in the world as the leader. I truly hope that America votes against the tide of media bias for McCain as I can only foresee more debt, war and ridicule around the world towards America. Sarah Palin as a VP pick, told me that John McCain is not fit to lead our nation.. That for me sealed it...McCain has lost his mind. If obama does not win, we the people will hold all those in the media responsible.. Ans when things go drastically wrong in the country.. we will be there to highlight and expose those bias people..and get them kicked of air..
Dear Larry and Michael, What can we do with some of these young women that are mad and say they are going to vote for Palin. They are mad because Hillary was not ask to be V.P. I have MS and I get $650 a month ,one hospital would not admit me because I am on medicaid. Charlie Christ said, that he would lower taxes. I get $7,200 a year and my taxes are $3,800 - is there any hope for people like me. They will not allow me to get a reverse mortage. Please help us Michael. Thank you Pat
I already left my comment. Has it been deleted because the subject matter is not pleasing to the scanner? Has my comments been censored, if so, please don't invite Larry King's viewers to respond to his guests, if their truthful remarks as not accepted.
Larry,
I enjoyed your show with Michael Moore. I wanted to comment on McCaine's acceptance speech. If he is really sincere about cleaning up Wahington, why would he be so horrified at the idea of a "bureaucrat" standing between me and my doctor? Wouldn't a bureaucrat who "works for me" be preferable in that position than a cut-throat CEO whose only motivation is to make money off of me when I am most vulnerable because I am sick? Similarly why is he so keen on placing our schools into the hands of profiteers? He gives himself away when he claims to give one whit about my health care or my children's education because his solutions will only benefit large corporations as they continue to fleece the American people.
I am an Australian citizen living in Hawaii but I am very interested in American politic. I studied political science at the University of Queensland, St. Lucia. I am activley supporting Senator Obama. I can not understand why 50% of Yanks believe in creationism and God does every thing. This 16 century attitude surprises me. Or green house affect is made by God and not by pollution. All one has to do is to drive up to the Mojave desert from LA.arriving on top and look down towards Riverside, I rest my case. We are emptying our natural resources an till the earth is void of life. And big corporations do not care. Having a Vice President that denies that green house gases exist and are growing. And also denying the right of women making there on decission what to do with their bodies. I introduced reusable shopping bags now most of the of Honolulu's supermarkets caught on. I founded "Green Planet America" and am promoting any thing that's green. I hope America comes to her sences and vote the Obama ticket
Larry King is one of the most LIBERAL viewed "journalist" on television. It is so obvious how his quesitons are ALWAYS slanted AGAINST the conservative views and in favor of the liberal views. I HAVE NEVER heard him question OBAMA'S "INexperience". Also, when he has a conservative on his show, the questions are ALWAYS inflammatory towards the conservatives.

GEORGE BUSH will go down in history as one of the BEST PRESIDENT'S this country has ever seen. THANK YOU GEORGE BUSH FOR HELPING SPREAD DEMOCRACY WITHIN THE MIDDLE EAST!!!!!!!!
Hi Larry - The mssg of your show tonight was STICK TO ISSUES. Stephanie Miller was really the only reasonable voice on the show. The other folks were so full of distortion; really lip stick on a pig? Since the rep convention ended there has been a barrage of distortion and off-message rhetoric and advertisement that likely has all us voters so confused that we do not think - we need change. I would vote for whoever can BE change. Obama is the choice - Hilary would have been fine - so would have Richardson. Chuck Norris is so derr-in-the-headlights ignorant that I hope he does not represent too many of the voters. I am not a partisan, I just want to get on a different road than we are on currently. Obama is the driver of that bus.
My hat is off to McCain as he has found an Alaskan deodorizer to cover the stench and the mask goes by the name of Sarah.
You use a deodorizer to cover a stench. It is commonly know as a mask.
The difficulty with a mask is that when the door is opened several times the mask dissipates and the stench remains.
This stench has consumed over a week of what is left in the campaign and it is high time that the policies and the future plan is front and centre.
Leave the door shut as McCain and Sara have nothing new to offer.
FIRST off..GLEN BECK..claiming he's undecided..thats a LIE!!All he do is TRY and bad mouth Democrats (he can be discussing anything and OBAMA always come upand alway's something on the NEGATIVE side.)What he's doing is trying to BOOST McCain/Palin with his show.NOW...why ISN'T someone talking about how McCain was LISTNING in on OBAMA'S remarks @ that Saddleback church interview. You know HE/HIS whole staff will not admit the TRUTH!One more thing ..McCain BILLS himself as a WAR hero..when is the TRUTH going to come out about him DESTROYING (SIX) aircraft!! ONE trying to FLY himself to a PARTY!!He flew 22-23 sorties, (high above the enemy)got shot down. His FATHER was an ADMIRAL..his father had contact with HIS captors..they RELEASED him..HE REFUSED to leave..HOW MANY PARENTS have contact with their son or daughter's captors??One fellow said McCain was the FATTEST pow that he'd EVER seen.Let's TALK with some REAL POW'S and see what they say!He (McCain) was a trouble maker..really could'nt FLY..he was PLACED into a position ahead of other QUALIFIED officers.CHECK IT OUT!!!! PLUS..talking about NOT choosing a person (for VP)that had BEAT the concrete SPENT money LOST rest/etc he go and pick someone with NO INTREST in the position THINKING a PRETTY FACE can win for him. That woman has her own PROBLEMS..she's a BIG LIAR..and those people in ALASKA isn't lying on her.MOST know they BETTER NOT speak out!!I'll close with this... PEACE!!
Wars, rising unemployment, ceo's getting rich their companies going broke and we the people are left to pay the tab and all of it on the republican party's watch. I wouldn't trust any republican to get this country out of the hole they've dug for us. Ps: I voted for Nixon and for Regan, Clinton and Kerry.
I saw the hockey moms on the show tonight and I believe they have been misled when they think Sarah Palin has been taking care of her kids the way other hockey moms do. There is something that people who think Palin can do her job and take care of five kids at the same time have overlooked. She said she could do it but she has not done it yet. If all the hockey moms could do what she did in taking their babies to the office with her and having staff members acting as baby sitters then any woman absolutely could do it. But are other mothers allowed that kind of child care? Our children can not go with us on our jobs. Most Walmart moms and most other moms can’t take their children to work with them.
I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD BAIL THE MARKET OUT WHILE THERE IS NO GUARANTEES IT WILL WORK AND WE STILL MIGHT GO INTO A DEPRESSION A TRILLION COULD BE USED LATER AND WE CAN'T BORROW OURSELVES OUT OF THIS PROBLEM
I thought america was the land of opportunity your own words are you can work hard and grow up to be president is that only if your white. I would like to see you all put your money where your mouth is and stop being a bunch of hypocites your either a land of opportunity or NOT which is it?
I am canadian and not prejudice
and would never be american you bunch of liar's
This 700 billion $ crisis is the best example of a "WEENIE PULL" I've ever heard of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been asked several times to define a "WEENIE PULL".....and this is it !!!!!
Larry you had a lady name susie on your show monday saying banks wont loan you any money and your credit will dry up. Listen clearly larry, when the banks have all that wood and brick from homes and no monthly payments being made because of no loans, no lending, no credit, and millions of foreclosures who will they sell ther wood and bricks to. of course you do know that the banks do want money not wood and bricks, listen careful and let the people know that they can control the credit problem vs banks controlling it. because if the people dont pay who and how will wall street get its money. lets be clear the people of america are against the bailout. a bailout will sink america in to a hell it cant cool off. its time to stop this madness. .congress let this bail out stall. and watch what happens. america will survive and people will start talkin an unemployment will not cause this nation to fold. watch an see. let the bail out stall i will vote atainst the senators and congressmen who are far this bailout thats for sure and i will advertise over the internet to millions and millions of americans about his bailout scam...
THIS BAILOUT IS FAKE, ITS THEFT JUST LIKE SPENDING 6 TRILLION DOLLARS OF AMERICAS MONEY TO FUND A WAR IN IRAQ. SEE WHY SPEND 6 TRILLION DOLLARS TO WHOOP A NATIONS BUTT THAT DIDNT HAVE A NAVY, NO AIR FORCE, NO WARSHIPS, NO SUBMARINES, NO NEUCLEAR WEAPONS, NO ICBMS, AND NO WAY OF REACHING USA IF WE LOCK OUR BOARDER, SEE ONLY A THIEF OF A FOOL WOULD DO THAT, 6 TRILLION TO WIN A WAR IN IRAQ HOW FOOLISH THAT WAS. WAKE UP AMERICA WE HAVE BEEN HAD BY THIS REPUBLICON PARTY. YOU MAY NOT LIKE WHAT I TYPED BUT ITS TRUE LARRY AND WHY IS IT YOU ALL ARE SCARED TO DEATH TO SAY ONE WORD ABOUT IT, STOP BEING COWARDS AND COME CLEAN WITH THE TRUTH.
Suzy is scary. Today she says we "lost" $1 trillion. On other days she talks about averaging in. Today she says pass anything, add $700 trillion to taxes, no questions asked. This is irresponsible.
We also need the opinion of someone other than the former CEO of Goldman Sachs to explain this to us. There were no hearings, no review, just sign here and turn over more power to Paulson!
Larry,
I am a licensed real estate broker in Nv,(20yrs) & Cal.(45 yrs).GREED,GREED, we all know that drove the real estate RE market. GREEDY R.E. agents, mortgage "brokers"(who quit selling shoes, turning wrenches.waiting tables, selling fast food with no lending education)escrow agents, appraisers and last but not least GREEDY,GREEDY,GREEDY sellers and buyers(investors). My point here is
nobody should be BAILED OUT. When you invest in anything its a gamble, weather its a home, the crap table,a lottery, etc. You win you lose you break even.If I go to the race track can I get bailed out if I lose,NO,NO,NO,NO.Those investors in the mortgage market, the home buyers that bought and say they did not understand their arm mortgage.or stated a bogus income DO NOT DESERVE TO BE BAILED OUT.OH you say this will effect the world economy, so be it.These countries didn't invest in our country cause they liked us,no they saw a money making opportunity and once again its an investment that comes with a win lose, break even result. I can go on and on. We Americans need this slap in the face, no we need this kick in the face.to get us back on track to being the greatest country in the world.email mikedix@cox.net
Bravo for the 700 billion not passing! This time, let the cards fall where they will. I am tired of corportae greed and the way hard working Americans have to put up with the outcome. Have the FBI go after those responsible and freeze their assets, take their homes, bank accounts, expensive cars, chalets, property, stocks and their little s--t dogs that eat better than hard working citizens. As a struggking citizen finding it difficult to make ends meet, my taxes and wages are taken if I can't keep up to debt. If thats not good enough to satisfy their pockets, they take property, leins on homes and anything else to make life more difficult. This should happen to these bastards. Those who voted no stand strong and think of the hard working person who is not acknowledged anymore.
Wow - Congress staying and not going on vacation when the country is in trouble. A new concept!! Before the Congress or the American people get behind any plan we need to make sure that there is not a bail out of big companies. Any company that gets help financially of any kind need to fire all the executives and void any golden parachutes for the executives. As a small business owner who watches my pennies, I am not interested in helping those greedy banks and mortgage companies continue "business as usual". Paulson needs to be fired as well. He has a conflict of interest!!
If Congress wants to pass a temp bill to help credit for those small business owners in case they have trouble in these times to make payroll or to help keep those home owners who bought and have always paid on time to make sure their loans stay current...then I am all for a temp help for those people and businesses. But putting good money to bad money will still end up with bad money!!
Both candidates need to stand up and be counted in this mess. Obama is so afraid of making a mistake he is voting "present" once again. McCain is at least trying to be involved and make a difference. I want a President that wants to be part of the answer not stand on the side lines and wait to see which way he should vote and voice his opinion.
I have a few questions for fact check1/who was first over wall st. mess to callit coruption and ask for oversight2/who asked obama 2years ago to call for regulation on fanny mae&freddy mac3/ who benefited with the most ear marks on morgage co. and how much and when! 4/why is cnn.always for obama even the racist remarks by CHRIS ROCK AND OTHERS if MCCAIN SAID THIS MY GOD YOU WOULD PUT HIM ON THE CROSS! WHY DON"T YOU EVER CHECK FACTS MCCAIN WAS FIRST ABOUT WALL ST. BUT YOU MAKE IT LOOK LIKE OBAMA WAS FIRST!!!!!
COOKIEMONSTER
The people that are talking on the show are typical. NO Offence meant but, do you really think that the millions of people in this country who have lost good paying jobs to these wall street vultures are one single bit sorry to see these wall street people lose some money. when the corporations moved all these jobs from this country to countrys abroad the only ones that were helped by it was wall street. Millions have suffered and have lost everything and all wall street could do was rub their hands and wait for the money to roll in. Lots of Americans are hurting and have been for a long time and finally wall street is feeling a little of their pain.
Larry,
I think Suze Orman is wrong. The bailout issue is about guarantees.
Why should we guarantee investments. Today was proof of RISK and investors want guarantees?
My foot!! The largest banks are secure and now buying other banks because they followed banking regulations.
You invest you take RISKS. $1.3 TRILLION LOST--tuff! Banks are in the business of making money by loaning money--that's a RISK.
Regardless of passing or not passing a bailout bill, CREDIT is going to CONSTRICT.
root cause of present financial nightmare is not the fat cats of corporate world. they are the result of it!
The real cause is the greedy American public that expects rock-bottom prices when they buy but expects skyhigh profits when they invest.
NO HONEST COPORATE LEADER CAN DELIVER BOTH!
Consequently they end up with con-men as corporate leaders and the result is present financial nightmare.
Governments world over are throwing trillions of dollars to stave-off the financial collapse.
With recession looming and most of the companies failing to make profits, tax collections in near future will be low.
HOW DOES THE U.S.A. PROPOSE TO STAY SOLVENT ITSELF LET ALONE RECOVER THE FUNDS DISHED OUT IN BAILOUT EXCERCISE? WILL THE GOVERNMENT INCREASE TAX, REDUCE EXPENSES ON NEEDY OR ALLOW A NIGHTMARE OF RUN AWAY INFLTION IN FUTURE?
This to me is all too like the old joke about which starts with "the cat is on the roof."
It is almost like a diversion from what I feel is much, much more threatening to us as American's than greedy banks who made poor choices in their efforts to rape the people of this great country.
My concern is that WE owe CHINA $500 Billion dollars? How? Why? And why are things like this being put to a vote to the American people as a whole, before decisions concerning US are made?
Personally I feel it is of greater interest to the American people as a whole to pay off CHINA.We should never put our Country in a position of being beholding to any other Country. But least of all one that in return hands out poison milk and toys.
In my humble opinion we need to let the banks that made such bad decisions fail, and We should pay back China. Then we should enact a tradition used by the Jewish people of Biblical times and call for a Jubilee for all legal American citizens that pay taxes. Which in effect clears all debts of the American people within our boundaries. In doing so this would free up monitory assets and the American people would feel free to spend and our economy would once again be made liquid and flowing. Abolishing all the debts of the American people can't be anymore spendy than the monies we have already lost in Wall Street.
A humble yet concerned American housewife

Bailout Billions Crisis
I think Congress was right to reject the Bailout Billions Bill.
Recommendation – Reverse the order. Give the people on the bottom a chance to make
The Network. Distribute most of that billions to all the families who make less than $250,000.00 a year, allow them to bail themselves out. Allow the families and small businesses who make more than 250,000.00 apply for help. If they need a committee to monitor some of the families SPENDINGs that would be great. Please do not give Wall Street/the rich another change to FAIL (I think they had an agenda). I believe this bailout, suggested by Bush, is another chance or trick to make the rich man richer and the poor man poorer. Because they still are not going to be fair to the less fortunate.
I do not trust anything Bush recommends. Now I am beginning to question
McClain’s & Oboma’s judgment for agreeing with him.
Bail Out
1. The Taxpayers should not bail out Wall Street or anyone else!
2. When Congress appropiate $700.00 Billion, Taxpayers should
Demand that we use the money to purchase the Bankrupt banks and
continue banking business.
3. It is preposterous for Taxpayers to buy or invest in Bad Debt when the bad Debt has no estimated value: how much of the
$63 trillion dollar Bad Credit Debt
are we buying or investing in?
4. Taxpayers should not be strong-armed by Politicians to become speculators when we have opportunity to become owners of the banks. Then, we can use the revenue to reduce the National debt
of $9 trillion and total debt of
$63 trillion.
Larry
When it comes to the "Bailout" I bet Gov, Palin has not been told what her position is yet.
"Darling"? Oh please... Dave Ramsey crossed the "politically correct" line in a big way. I thought older men on TV would know better by now that to call a young girl "darling". How arrogant of him. I wish Larry, who I admire greatly as a host, would not reinvite guests who insult women's integrity by taking the liberty of calling them pet names without their express consent.
Let's wake up America. Do we want 4 more years of Bush. We need to do the write thing and vote for a leader that can make changes. McCain's biggest interest is to win the war no matter what it takes. He has selected Sarah Palin as his running mate and she is definitely not qualified to take that 3 a.m. call. McCain is 72 and
God forbid if that was to happen. She has already voiced on Biden's age, what does that tell you. Let's not vote for the party but for the person we deeply feel can lead our country.
Why don't we ask the crooks who plundered the money to make the bail out? Start with Cheney and Haliburton then move on to the Bushies who run Blackwater. All the republicans who have left office to become lobbyist thieves. Let the CEOs who have gotten these ridiculous bonuses and retirement profit sharing plans make the bailout. And lets not forget the companies with out shore mailboxes who don't pay any taxes. JAIL NOT BAIL is what is needed.
I am in complete agreement that we don't want 4 more years of the same. Bush has not been man enough to come out against the free for all that the democrats have voted in for the no qualifying loans for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Thank heavens McCain spoke out against it and warned of what would happening which is happening now. On the other hand, Obama was a true supporter which is why I want McCain in there to make a change. Obama is the 2nd largest winner when it comes to funds from both the Mack's. His chairperson was also a big wheel of the Stearn organization. Heaven help us we get more of the same that he was been promoting "when he doesn't vote present".
Larry needs to have someone watch what is on his front page. It appears Larry supports HumanEvents.
If he supports these lies and manipulated facts then I certainly don't support Larry or his program.
At the very least the page should make it clear this is an add and not part of Larry's Website. If it is I will do all I can to make sure people do not watch his TV program.
About Sarah Palin's latest blundering response to Katie Courics SupremeCourt case question, how could she not have been able to at least cite the Terri Schiavo case which the whole country watched and not so very long ago. Surely they have news in Alaska and that case was extremely emotional for Main Street.
Hey LARRY KING, why don't you question THE MANY suspicious problems with O. HUSSEIN OBAMA?? IT IS ALWAY CONSTANTLY ABOUT PALIN. WHAT ABOUT BIDEN'S MANY, MANY "blunders'???
Larry, I think the Clinton years of economic boom abd equality were seen indifferently by the American people. Even today we hear people who want to belittle it. But, I think it will take quite some time for America ( the nation that gave a lot in technological advancement and the sprit of democracy to our world)to revive its lost prestige under the leadership of Jorge Bush. And I think it is time also for America to think far from its present egoistic thinking of becoming the police man of our world arrogantly. Our fathers used to say that arrogance precede down fall. So, America is today found to be the victim of its arrogance and miss givings in politics under the Bushs' administration and should be carefull in electing his successor.
God bless its innocent people.
Thanks and best regards.

Kevin Flynn--even debate so far however I feel that republican lessie faire policies which foster a union free, deregulated atmosphere is the root cause of all of our problems.
McCain's "The fundamentals of the economy are strong" Fundamentals mean the value of the dollar, credit, investments, etc. When said he was referring to the economic downward spiral and not the american workers. If he meant the workers he is wrong becaise we jave high unemployment rate.
Leidy from The Bronx
Larry, everyone says that people who bought houses that they can't afford caused this problem well let me tell you about someone in my family who bought a home five years ago and then lost his job six months ago. He found another job making only three quarters of what he was making, although he had four month of his salary saved when this is exhausted he will loose his home this is someone who always worked has three children he won't be able to sell his home because it has depreciated almost one hundred thousand dollars in five years,I'm sure he is not the only one in the predicament, where is the help for these people?
We cannot drill our way out of this mess, even if we start drilling now we will not see a drop of oil for about ten years, so it is rather futile. We could drill for petroleum, for more immediate use. We need to develop alternative fuels such as FREE FUELS like solar, wind power and waterpower. This would give all of the unemployed in our country jobs to install the systems, and sell them to businesses and homeowners. Also developing hydrogen and electric vehicles would create jobs and get us off of gas/oil dependency. Don't forget that we make plastic bottles, toys and a lot of packaging materials from oil products, so we need to back up the clock a little and go back more to a simpler time in our production history, to fully get off of oil. Also I fear nuclear power will create a bunch of waste that cannot be used and will have future impacts on our children, or terrorists will break in and create havoc, or we will have a nuclear meltdown in Ohio. We need to stay away from nuclear power altogether if possible. Thats ONE reason I'm voting for Obama, he's for very little, if any nuclear development., and he actually plans to TALK to the enemy to develop similar interests and protect our country politically instead of just militarily, which Bush and McCain will do.
i think its disappointing and insulting if palin thinks she can charm her way through the vice presidency. she is very charming but it is just not enough.
This is for all the Clinton supporters who for some reasons will not vote for Obama. Don't you realize the reason he did not ask her to be a VP is because she wanted to BE PRESIDENT, not a vice president. Although they are behind the same beliefs, she wanted to be in charge, and it would have been impossible for an independent woman such as Hillary to play second fiddle. Obama knew this, so thats why he picked Biden.Biden has all the foreign experience credentials he lacks, and needs to run the country. No he's not a woman, but I think the ISSUES play a more important role here than the sex of the person running. Obama is for clean energy, clean environment, no outsourcing of our jobs, making teens responsible for helping the community to earn a college education, and stopping all the tax breaks for big oil companies and big businesses. Give him a chance to get in so he can DO it!
Larry:
It is amzing how the McCain campaign distort the facts and always cry fowl. It is insulting to think that McCain/Palin would actually think that women would actually vote for him because he put Palin on the ticket. She is an embarassment to the public and is totally unqualified to be any type member of the House,Senate or Presidency. The Far right wing is very scary and out of control and represent the hate that exist in this country. They are racist, extremely prejudice and out of touch.Furthermore, John McCain has missed 492 votes on the Senate floor and dares come back to vote for this bail out package. He should never be allowed to collect a pay check and I am outraged at his arragonce. He is not a prime example of a leader and is unworthy of being the Presisent of the US.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion.

I suggest anyone out there to watch the Doc/link tv channel if you want to be truly informed of how our country is viewed around the globe and what we have done to other cultures in the process of progress. It was shocking. I learned that the amount of water I used when I brush my teeth, is the same amount of water a person in a third world country has to wash clothes, bathe and cook in all day long. You have no idea how spoiled we all are until you see this. It isn't like a save the children program either, these are documentaries about real things. I learned that GlascoSmithKlein sold a bunch of pills in Africa, collected large amounts of money for pills supposedly to cure malaria, that didnt work, and most of the people died, mostly children. We, used India people to dig Uranium out of hillsides wearing only loincloths, polluted their water, and now the children are mostly born deformed. These are the reasons a lot of cultures around the world hate us, and the reason Obama plans to change our view in the world to what we once were. Pleae watch LInk TV.
I have one car and one house. Mccain has many of each. Obama does not. I've been a community organizer. So has Obama. I'm a member of the upper middle class. I feel Obama is a much better choice for me in November. I feel he has the judgement necessary and the concern for all the people to be the leader of our country.
When John Macain said he was referring to the American work force when he said the economy was strong does that mean the work force is weak when he said that the economy is in crisis?
To say that Obama is a middle class citizen is not even close to the truth. Middle class citizen do not live in million dollar homes and their kids go to private schools. Most middle class citizen have to work for a living and not volunteer as community organizers. They are not graduates of ivy league schools along with their wives. There law school degrees are not paid for by student loans or parents but rather by individuals from foreign countries with ties to Arab nations. Check it out and tell see if you would characterize Obama as your typical middle class citizen. Obama does not resemble most middle class citizens - at least not in my neighborhood.
Why does no one say that Sarah Palin simply does not understand what a debate is- or else she deliberately chose to break the rules? She did not answer questions, simply telling the same story she has told over and over. I think she was rude and unprofessional. Her cute winks and "gotchas" do not belong a heart beat away from the White House. She is totally unprepared for the job of vice president of the United States of America.
After seen Sarah Palin this weekend as a independed voter I will vote for Obama, way to go MCCain, lost an other vote!! On election day you will be left at the close doorof the White House where you belong , we do not need anymore trash!! And please send
Sarah Palin back to alaska. Shame on you war hero!!what hero? sure you dont show it on the campain trail!!
To Russ, I'm a 16yr active duty mom in the United States Air force and I have been deployed away from my 3 boys and husband for the past 5 yrs. There are thousands of moms like myself serving this country and what upsets 90% of us is to hear people like you and other civilians chop down Obama who we sing praises over because he can give us hope that this war will soon be over. John McCain tells us that we will probably never return home to normal lives like you and thousands of others who sit in your beautiful homes and live great lives with your families. He will start new wars and continue this war for 100yrs. I'm elated that I made this choice to serve my country and wouldn't change a thing. What irritates the majority of the men and women serving this country is to hear and see the american people go after Obama and use Sarah Palin to do it. What has Palin ever done for this country? Military moms for Obama - change is our hope- maybe if all of you McCain supporters can be deployed in this possible mandatory draft if McCain win can speak - come step into our shoes and go to Iraq I'm sure you'll be voting on Barack then.
No doubt Diana,Princess of Wales, turned over in her grave when she heard that she is related to Sarah Palin.
As a matter of fact, there is no resemblance whatsoever.Michelle Obama is more like Diana - kind, gracious and forgiving in the face of intense scrutiny and malicious inuendos. Best wishes to Senator Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as they work to improve the lives of ordinary American families. The world awaits their presence in the White House with great joy and wonderful anticipation.
As a person who is extremely concerned about the protection of the unborn, I did not need to know about Senator Obama's association with Bill Ayers to worry about his judgement. He already supports terrorism in the womb by saying a woman's right to choose is more important than the violent murder of millions of unborn Americans. His judement also shows by supporting a bill that would allow the survivor of an abortion to be left alone without medical help; that my fellow Americans is dispicable!
What is wrong with YOU people?
Your economy is in a shambles because of the free wheeling, free market mentality that has run rampant and ruled in your country for so long. And you are still considering elected another Republican??? With Sarah Palin as VP?? Are you serious???
Don't get me wrong, I'm for free markets and would probably be a Republican if I lived in the States (no thanks, I like my free health care up here in Canada and no, a committee doesn't pick my doctor or decide where and when I go to the hospital) but when you add greed, corruption, selfishness and incompetence to a market that literally has no rules, then a few get very rich on the backs of the many. And that is why the free market has failed this time. But that's the past and we must all move forward and you will recover in time.
However, if the Reps take the WH, your country won't recover. You will become what Britain became 100 years ago when they pursued one failed policy after another and didn't keep their eye in the ball.
They were the greatest empire in the world and look where they are now.
If you elect McCain/Palin, shame on you and you all will get the leaders that you deserve.
What does John McCain stand for? What is his plan? Does he have a plan for our country? We want to know!! Will the candidates please give us an idea at the next debate? If Sarah Palin's only purpose or job is to be McCain's attack dog on this campain, as Faye stated, what will her job be if they take the election?
Check this outand decide for yourself. http://theblackkettle.blogspot.com/2008/09/burning-down-house-what-caused-our.html
Why is it that Senator Obama's loose affiliation with William Ayers is always paralleled with his support of a terrorist, but Sarah Palin's husband's support of the succession of Alaska is never discussed at the very least as unpatriotic?
Your Republican talking heads are speaking out of both sides of their mouth- they must be desperate
I am African and have been living in Canada for about 7 years. What I really, really don't get is this whole thing about the American people hailing Sarah Pailin as some virtuous woman. Evangelicals or Petencostals all over the world are known for their devout and strict adherence to the Scriptures-i.e.morals. They are intolerant to fornication, sex before marriage, abortion, etc. etc. Yet, they are hailing her and placing her on this highger moral ground when she has a teen-age pregnant daughter. The American people are saying that she balances motherhood well with job. I am wondering if they are blind. Larry, you Americans give us a break!!! I would have hailed her if her child is graduating on top of her class; won the most prestigious scholarship (based on academic performance)to a renowed university,........ To me Sarah Pailin is just like any other working mother and should not be placed on any higher moral grounds of extra-ordinary strength. Additionally, she is spreading lies and referring to her opponent (Barak)as "he's not like the rest of us". Isn't the Bible says "In Christ there is no east or west"?.....That we should love our neighbors as ourselves even as Christ loves the church????????? Wow, this Sarah Pailin lady is compromising the principles and values of evangelicals and petencostals. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY SHOULD NOT LOOSE SIGHT OF THIS.

okay sara p. i think is one of the worst people look at her family i don't think she has been that great of a mom and women are dumb for voting for her its because she is a women and they think she can do so much well i hate to tell you this but she is not the one you are voting for mccain is i am a i am a women and i don't like her she is stunk up and things she can rule the world just because she is going to be VICE president i am all for obama he is a great person and he can do a lot and change so much that needs to be improved please my future is alot more impotent i am all for peace this is what the world should be about peace love and freedom but it sure as much don't seem like that i have seen the world have gone good to bad i think war is the dumbest thing in the world we should sit down and talk about it its so much better then killing people i sure wouldn't wanna go on living my life knowing i have killed 100's of people if you loved or cared about us kids think of us not you guys obama is the way to go he is a great man give him a chance and stop judging him about his background at least he wants to help us and make this place a better world for all of us please to us a favor and vote for obama
Larry, I like your show and the way you present it. But it is always a painfull felling when you are seeing yourself under insing of life. To me as a refugee, I am always trying to judge what is good for me, my kids, and for America.I do not understand the fact that, there are some people who still depend on race, as an stronger point to be citizen, but as an american who live, eat, rise kids in this land, I think we all have the same goall, and our goall is to nurture this cauntry for future and blessing people.
Obama says he would meet as leader of the US the leaders of the terrorist supporting regime from Iran. Now we hear he has met and had some interaction with a domestic terrorist. Then there is of course Wright, who was his pastor for how many years? When it got out that Wright was anti-American, Obama (caught red handed) eventually distanced himself from someone whom up to that point he considered a part of his family.
How many times do such things have to be revealed before people start questioning this man beliefs? I fear what Obama says and what Obama believes are two different things.
I dont feel that these low blows that Mccain's ticket are taking at Obama are right. I feel like the issues that have been brought up by Palin and Mccain have no integrity and dont weigh in heavier then our current issues i.e. equal pay for Man and Women.
In a time when my retirment portfolio is losing money...I do not care about Ayers, Rev. Wright or any of the other people that are probably more financially solvent than I am...I do care about the way the Republicans are running their party now as they are appealing to the radical racist crowd...this is scary..."socialists taking over our economy"..."kill him"..."terrorist"...this is getting ridiculous!
I am thankful that the gentleman stood up and said..."we are all a product of our association".
McCain and Palin both have some shady people in their past...luckily the Democratic party is just ignoring the desperation of the Republican party.
In this day and time, I am amazed!
As long as this country has leaders who bicker and fight with each other and never put our wonderful country first, including out presidential candidates, this country will never heal and we will never be the world power we once was when we was under Regan. GOD BLESS AMERICA
Why is no one mentioning John McCains relationships? His friends scare me more than any one Barack Obama knows. McCains friends are the "financial terrorists", the ones who wear suits and ties and bleed the American public on a daily basis, the corporate thieves that are destroying our economic system. They have one hand in our pockets trying to steal our wallets and the other is holding an American flag while they sing God Bless America. They are the real enemies of America, not Obama. Remember the savings and loan scandal, and Phil Gramm, etc, when thinking of McCain. Willaim Black was a banking regulator from 1984-1994, and he says McCain knew exactly what went down in the Keating 5 scandal, and that he lied about it.
Ray,
Your commitment to exploring the idea that Senator Obama is a terrorist is simply one of the many rampant codes for being a racist! Just be honest because you are not fooling anyone!
Is it true that Obama refuses to wear an American Flag pin and why? Does he not love this contry?. I sure would think about voting for him if he was unwilling to do that.
Is it true that his wife wrote a white hating thesis in college?
Is it true that Obama's "former" pastor said that the white's created HIV to "rid of African Americans"?. Can you get much more racial?
a gentleman jsut said that Obama is raising tax for the upper class, to put them in a higher tax bracket, can you afford you home, can you afford to refinance your home, how good is your credit , what type of job do you have, and do your job pay you more that $10 per hr and you have a family to feed, cloth and provide shelter for , to which a 1/3 of that is taxes, and then you have insurance and bills and, not to mention the cost of living steadly increase without the person $10per wages, and then what happens when that person place of employment folds or leave the country, due to outsourcing, trying to save a dollar
Obama wants to tax all income at a higher rate above $250,000. What most people don't realize is that this will hit many small businesses that are S-Corporations. These small business owners do not take all this money for themselves but pay employees, rent, and set money aside to stay solvent in less profitable times. If they are taxed at a higher rate - employees will be laid off and many will go out of business. Small businesses not large corporations are the backbone of American. Go after them and our economy will tank even further!! What is Obama's plan to spare S-Corporations from diaster? Larry how about asking those tuff questions?

Please check this out. This is really scary.

Wondering if the 'American Public' will see what is really going on...All we hear from McCain's camp is negative attacks about his opponent, (supported by a resounding boo from the Republican audience!), whereas the Obama camp is fostering new ideas, and optimism for growth. I'm hoping this trend continues long enough for even the slow thinking, thick headed, money grubbing Republicans will see the light. We can only pray!
If I hear one more person bring up Reverend Wright I'm going to lose my mind! People because someone is pro Black don’t make them anti American. Because some advocates for African Americans it doesn't make them racist. Other than promoting himself during the primaries, I don't think Reverend Wright said or did anything wrong. Go back and listen to his sermons he didn't say anything false. I have come to the conclusion that the more Privileged you are the harder it is for you to understand his very simple and accurate message. This is why Obama was able to remain in his church for 20 years. He was promoting a people that have long been forgotten about by most privileged Americans. WAKE UP! It's a black thing you wouldn't understand…...You wouldn't understand what it is like to be followed around in a store You wouldn't understand what it is like to be assumed unintelligent
You wouldn't understand what is like to have to place your hands view of the police if ever stopped out of fear of being shot to death even if you have done nothing You wouldn't understand what is like to watch the news and have a crime be reported and you say a silent prayer that the person isn't black because you know if they are their crime will be attributed to the entire black race You wouldn't know what it is like to sit in a room and be aware that all of the upper management is white You wouldn't understand what it is like to stick out like a sore thumb because you are the seemingly token black You wouldn't understand what it is like to turn the TV on and 99% of what you see is White America You wouldn't understand why news shows and movies primarily showcase white men and women as if no other talent exit You wouldn't understand that blacks have to give 110% because 100% isn't good enough You wouldn't understand what is like to be black but think white is better because you have been taught any different You wouldn't understand what it feels like to know that little black boys are dropping out of school in record numbers and that black young and old men are entering the prison system in record numbers You wouldn't understand what it is like to be misunderstood I understand...I must be confident in my own skin and daily one person at a time helps others to understand. I also know that ALL minorities to some degree "UNDERSTAND." I know that white men seem to control most everything but perhaps the tide will turn one day and if not in my life time maybe in my grandchildren's.
Get over Reverent Wright!
LISTENING TO CHARLES BARKLEY TONIGHT I AM HAPPY TO HEAR SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT RACE IS A BIG ISSUE IN THE RACE. MOST PEOPLE SEEM TO NOT HAVE THE COURAGE TO ADMIT THAT OUR COUNTRY STILL HAS PREJUDICES. I PERSONALLY KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER VOTED WHO REGISTERED JUST TO VOTE FOR THE WHITE CANDIDATE. IT MAKES ME ASHAMED SOMETIMES TO LIVE HERE. PERHAPS IF MORE PEOPLE ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AND BROUGHT IT OUT INTO THE OPEN DISCUSSIONS WOULD DEVELOPE THAT MIGHT HELP IN THIS AREA. I AM BROUGHT TO TEARS WHEN I HEAR THE PREJUDICIAL COMMENTS MADE AND HAVE MADE ENEMIES BY VOICING MY OWN OPINIONS AND MY SUPPORT FOR OBAMA.
ONE OTHER COMMENT. I HAD DINNER WITH SIX WOMEN LAST NIGHT. HALF OF US VERY SERIOUSLY SAID IF MCCAIN/PALIN WINS WE WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY. NOT BECAUSE OF MCCAIN. BECAUSE PALIN SCARES US SO MUCH.
CHARLES BARKLEY, PLEASE KEEP UP THE DISCUSSION.
I have followed this presidential race since it began and I am very disheartened with my country. Dishaeartened because this will be America's admittance to the world of just how racist our country is. Obama has nothing else he can do because America's is in trouble. Our country will dissolve in its entirety if we do not allow the election be based on the better person for the job and not the whitest. How sad for our country.
Of all of the well versed well spoken Afican Americans why Charles Barkley? Great Basketball player.
Sorrowfully I do beleive that this election will boil down to race. Ever since Se. Obama came into the arena I've always said thatAmerica could not rest comfortable in herself know she has a black president.
Reason;1. Just look at America's presidential history.
2. There exists two legacies in America; for blacks it is 'to serve' and for whites it is 'to be served.
I'm voting for Se. Obama but I'm very frightened for his safety. I just can't get it out of my gut...America is not ready.
OBBA
Larry...you should read this on air...It is good for all the poor Americans that watch and support your show....This can work!!! It helps the economy from the bottom up instead of bailing out Wallstreet....please read!!!!
Subject: The Birk Economic Recovery Plan
Hi Pals,
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to Americans, a "We Deserve It Dividend". To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S.Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposedby one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in WashingtonDC.
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
Kindest personal regards,
T. J. Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic
PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!
Am I the only democrat that see Barrack Oboma's socialist policy. First his healt care why isn't he told you yet what the penalty is if you don't join his plan. The next thing his tax now this one makes me laugh when he lets Bush's tax cuts exspire watch out married people your losing your tax break you once had and then you will get a tax break if you come under his criteria but I wouldn't bet on it. People wise up and watch closely and then you will see that Oboma's socialist programs will shine through
Why is it if anybody question Oboma's policy there racist except Jesse Jackson.. Hillary went through th e same thing but the liberal media did not report that or any of his mistakes
Hi from the UK, please the rest of the world looks on and America as the leader of the "free world" whether it likes it or not has an obligaition to the rest of the world. Unilt Iraq was invaded we had no Al Queada bombs in London. Whilst we were all looking at Baghdad, the economy went bad and now the world is not only in political crisis but financial crisis. Mc Cain said that the Economy was fine the day before it crashed. Obama is lookign to a future wich is inclusive. America whether you like it or not you have an obligation to elect someone who is not going to rip the world apart. WIth McCain unable to raise his arms I am worried about his health. Palin is dangerous, more importantly will Palins husband abuse her power in the oval office and demand alsaka and independent country? Obama is for inclusiveness. McCain still speaks about them and us, he claims to be pro life but is also pro war. Please America do the world a favour(UK spelling).
Howdy Larry,
The difference between a politician and a statesman is: a politician thinks of the next election and a statesman thinks of the next generation. So said
James Freeman Clarke
In all the debates Senator Obama has shown the class he is made of and how he can rescue America and the American people from the current situation that they are in today given the opportunity.
The great ends for a statesman are, security to possessors, facility to acquirers, and liberty and hope to the people.
So said Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
And the Democratic Presidential Candidate qualifies for all the qualities of a Statesman.
Unfortunately reactions from Senetor Obama were expected to the jibes from Senetor McCain but as a serious statesman
taking into account the economy, Senetor Obama responded with constructive responses, and that's what the American people and the world expects from the President of America.
Rajoo.
Howdy Larry,
It was deplorable to hear a self proclaimed record bearing Senetor McCain trying his level best to hit Senetor Obama below the belt by leveling unfounded aquasations.Lets see if he remembers and how he voted when...
(The records are there for each one to see).
1.The illegal bombing of Libya in 1986 was described by the UN Legal Committe as a "classic case " of terrorism ?
2.Who rejected the order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to terminate its "Unlawful use of force" against Nicaragua in 1986 and then vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling on all states to observe international law?
3.Who was accused by a UN sponsored truth commission of providing "Direct and indirect support" for "acts of genocide" against Mayan Indians in Guatemela during the 1980s?
4.Who prevented the United Nations from curbing the gun trade at a small arms conference in July 2001?
5.Who apart from Somalia refused to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child?
One can go back and forth but one does not achieve the goal set out.
Senator McCain needs to be reminded to take a leaf from history which he seems to quote every now and then.
Americanism is a question of principle, of purpose, of Idealism, of Character: it is not a matter of birthplace or creed or line of descent.
So said:
Theodore Roosevelt
Address, Washington,
D.C. 1909.

This election is no longer up to the candidates...it's up to us, the American people. And if, after this long race and the comments made at this charity event, we cannot decide on the character of the right man we want to lead our country forward in a positive direction, then it will be the American people who suffer the consequences. Let's do the right thing.
Surely, it would take more than a saint to remain dispassionate about the 2008 presidential election. However, the hair on the back of my neck stands up when I hear, Ms. Jane Q. Public, sounding more like a pundit rather than a registered voter should. I cringe when I hear a registered voter sounding more like a paid lobbyist rather than an informed citizen. In addition, I am greatly saddened when I hear from, what is supposed to be an informed electorate, sounding more like a high school cheerleader at a pep rally (with no disrespect to high school cheerleaders) rather than someone who offer thoughtful reflections on the issues. I have to believe that our presidential election is about more than unbridled emotion, particularly, when the choice we make on November 4th will define the caliber of people we are to be for the coming generations. I speak as a card-carrying baby boomer; and I believe this election should be about “we the people” and not about the self-proclaimed demigods, ideologues, or pundits who think they can better speak or think for me.
Enough of this Joe the plummer guy. This is not an example of a low income job. The public needs to know that Joe the plummer makes a great 6 digits salary. They should of used Tajuana the nurses aide as an low income job.Again the public should know Tajuana the nurses aide as an example.
I think Tajuana the nurse aide won tonight.
Howdy Larry,
How can the world or the American People ever trust Senetor McCain?
On the one hand he assures and professes a dignified campaign, requests Senator Obama to repudiate some comments and the next day he plays the Racial card.
Has he forgotten that.......
"In this country if someone dislikes you or accuses you, he must come up in front. He cannot hide behind the shadows, he cannot assassinate you or your character from behind without suffering the penalties an outraged citizenry will inflict."
So said.
Dwight D. Eisenhower:
Address,November 23,1954
If anything else Senator McCain if
serious in the US Presidency should make the best of the remaining days left for the elections in winning over the American People.
Regards.
Rajoo.
Howdy Larry,
No jester ever became a king nor comedian a hero.
Senator McCain proved yet again at the Memorial Foundation Dinner how immune he is to commiting blunders and making a laughing stalk of himself. He would be well advised to comprehend the gravity of the situation the American Economy is in today and concentrate on its recovery rather than poke fun at others.
"At times like the present, when the evils of unsound finance threaten us,the speculator may anticipate a harvest gathered from the misfortune of others, the capitalist may protect himself by hoarding or may even find profit in the fluctuations of values, but the wage earner--the first to be injured by a depreciated currency and the last to receive the benefit of its correction-- is practically defenseless."
Thus said:
Grover Cleveland.
22nd and 24th President of the
United States.
Senator McCain instead of making it harder for Senator Obama to win is on the contrary gifting the keys of the White House to him.
I wonder if Senator McCain has an ace up his sleeve.
Or Senator Obama is up against a novice.
Regards.

I AM A 53 YEAR OLD AFRICAN AMERICAN SINGLE FEMALE SUPPORTING JOHN MCCAIN AND HOLDING MY OWN. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED INTO VOTING FOR OBAMA SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS BLACK. WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT THE ONLY THING THAT IS TRUE IN THIS WHOLE ELECTION IS THE FACT THAT THE ONLY REASON OBAMA IS WHERE HE IS NOW IS BECAUSE OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTE...THE MEDIA CAN SUGAR COAT IT AS MUCH AS THEY WANT....LET ME SAY IT AGAIN....NOBAMA IS WHERE HE IS BECAUSE OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTE...THE IGORANCE OF VOTING FOR HIM ONLY BECAUSE HE IS BLACK AND IF THEY SAY OTHERWISE THEY ARE LYING....SO NONE OF THESE COMMENTS MATTER BECAUSE IF THEY HAD BEEN LOYAL TO HILLARY AS THEY CLAIMED, THEN SHE WOULD BE THE NOMINEE AND NOT HIM....WATCH OUT OBAMA, YOUR PEOPLE WILL TURN ON YOU JUST AS THEY HAVE DONE JESSIE AND AL..THAT
S THE WAY WE ARE....LOYALTY....WHAT IS THAT?
I meet people who will not vote for a black guy. I know white people who will vote for Obama but don't talk about it. There are those Blue collar workers that don't like Obama and is it because of race or Hillary losing I'm not sure. One thing for sure I have voted republican most of my life but this time I was inspired. If he wins he may be the best President of all time. Barack Obama
LARRY,YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW MANY WHITE PEOPLE WILL SUPPORT MCCAIN IN FRONT OF OTHER WHITE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW HOW THEY WILL TAKE IT IF THEY SAY THEY ARE FOR OBAMA. I HAVE TWO WHITE PEOPLE SAY WHEN THE CURTAIN BEHIND THEM, YOU WILL BE AMAZED OF ALL THE WHITE PEOPLE THAT WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA.
I feel that in polite communications, whether written or verbal, I do not need to identify my race, religion, or politics. Here in the 21st Century, most of us are either biracial or multiracial, so I will leave the concept of “race” to the social biologists. Religion and politics change with whoever is their leader at the time. By identifying my race, religion, or politics, I do so in order to increase awareness of or understanding of me as a person. The only question I ask of me is whether the injecting of race, religion, or politics into my communication contributes to the content or quality of my communication.
Larry why don't the Foxnews people check S. Palins pass about Pastor Muthie/Muthey or Joe Vugar. better yet Why want you do it.
Larry, I beleive that bail-out for Wall Street and Taxation were/are both redistribution of wealth therefore Socialistic...No?
Howdy Larry,
Here is what some of the great souls had to say about
Socialism.........
"We often hear it said that government operation of anything under the sun is socialistic. If that is so, our postal service is socialistic, so is the parcel post which has largely taken the place of the old express companies, so are the public highways which took the place of the toll roads."
FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT:
Hyde Park, September 22,1928.
"We are all for some kind of socialism, call it by whatever name we please."
JOHN DEWEY.
"The aim of Socialism is to set up a universal society founded on equal justice for all men and equal peace for all nations."
LEON BLUM: fOR All Mankind,1941
"The issue is Socialism versus Capitalism.I am for Socialism because I am for humanity."
EUGENE V.DEBS:
January 1,1897.
"Socialism is basically a different approach from that of capitalism.....Socialism is, after all, not only a way of life but a certain scientific approach to social and economic problems."
JAWAHARLAL NEHRU:
Prime Minister of India.

I hope Former Secretary of State Gen.Colin Powell's advise is taken by all concerned in the correct prespective.

Hey Larry, I'm a father of two daughters ages 7 and 10. This morning when we came out to our car we saw that it had been covered with racial slurs and terrorist all because I have an Obama sticker in my window. If McCain and Palin Don't think the things they're saying isn't affecting the country in a negative way, maybe they should explain to my 7yr. old why those people did that to our car!!
during the primaries in all but about two states the total number of democrat votes always was much bigger than the total number of republican votes. does this mean something?

MR. KING FIRST LET ME SAY THAT I THINK THAT YOU ARE THE VERY BEST THAT THE WORLD HAS TO OFFER.
I AM A BLACK MAN, A VETERAN FROM THE VIETNAM WAR.
MY QUESTION IS: HOW MAN VETS, PAST AND PRESENT ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES NOW BECAUSE OF WALL STREET MONEY WOES? NO ONE IS ADDRESSING THAT. BUT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT THAT ARE REALLY FOR THE VETS. PLEASE ASK THAT QUESTION FOR ME.

MR. KING I FEEL THAT YOU ARE THE VERY BEST THAT THE WORLD HAS TO OFFER. MY QUESTION OR COMMENT IS: I AM A BLACK MAN AND A VET OF THE VIETNAM WAR. HOW MANY VETS PAST AND PRESENT ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES DUE TO THE EVENTS HAPPENING ON WALL STREET? EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY CARE ABOUT THE VETS...MAYBE SOME OF THEM CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION FOR US VETS.IF YOU COULD SIR, PLEASE ASK THAT QUESTION FOR ALL OF US. AND HOLD ON TO YOUR SEAT....PLEASE!!!!
Larry King cannot get a word in with four women who cannot even be courteous to Larry or the audience who would like to hear what each has to say. Stop walking all over one another and be respectful, ladies. And Kelly Ann has her blonde head in the sand, ignoring the polls and so sure she knows more than any of the others; is she related to Sara Palin???? Jude
A president who will heal a nation can only assuage the damage caused by the 2008 presidential election; is if he can reflect the aspirations of the people by magnifying their voices---those who refuse to be quiet after this election, and for those who are willing to roll up their sleeves and be a part of history. This person will become a great president.
I am a 74 year old Black Man.I never thought I would see the day that this country would reach this point in an election for President of the United States. I want to advise you that I predicted on 7-15-08 that Barack Obama would win this election. What all of the pundits neglected to consider was the African-American vote. They and the polls had no idea what effect it would have. I knew that 14% was in the bag. Kerry lost by 500 votes. Obama will win BIG. Just One Old Man's Opinion!
I am a 74 year old Black man. I never thought I would see this day. The day America apologized to the African-Americans of these United States. I predicted that Obama would win on the 15th of July. I feel CNN is biased towards McCain. It's reflected in the questions you pose! Just One Old Man's Opinion!
I think McCain and some republicans are upset and jealous because Barack has such enormous financial support. The money that Barack has received has come from many people. If McCain had received the type of financial support that Barack has received, he would use it where he saw fit also.
McCain is jealous that he hasn't gotten the financial support that Barack has received. People are tired of hearing his tired speech, "My Friends". America is also tired of hearing his entertainer (Sarah Palin). She should go into show business. She's good at that. Maybe that's why it took her 5 to 6 years to receive a B.S.degree.
IS OBAMA BUYING THE ELECTION?
Maybe whoever thought of this question doesn't realize that this is our money given freely to a campaign "WE THE PEOPLE" believe in. Obama is not buying the election he is using the hard earned money that we have given.
Rich in Toledo, Ohio
IS OBAMA BUYING THE ELECTION?
NO "We the People" have given the man of our choice the hard earned money to afford him to get his message out to all that wishes to hear. WE THE PEOPLE
McCain is jealous that he hasn't gotten the financial support that Obama has gotten.
I don't see anything wrong with Obama buying air time. He's trying to win!
Larry King is trying to walk and talk this 'high' line about not airing Obama's ad because CNN wants to air their regular programming......and their regular programming has Larry King throwing softballs at John McCain for free. I'm going to start watching 'HARDBALL' with that Matthews guy...at least he has some balls. At least Matthews has a hard-on...Larry King is wondering why his Viagra doesn't work anymore.
So my comment will be visible 'after approval'!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! So much for CNN.
I started watching CNN a couple months ago and initially thought that it was a decent program with its 'unbiased' programming. I have since re-thought my original idea. A perfect example is Cooper's last 'expose' where he gets someone to 'keep them honest' and his 'expert' slams Obama's ad and promises. OK...fair game, but I haven't heard ONE thing on CNN or Cooper's show where they state that McCain has said or offered NOTHING for the American people. He (McCain) resorts to the typical Republian technique of simply slaming the 'other guy"....'that one'......and Cooper says NOTHING about the idea that McCain offers nothing of value...yet he is willing to dis Obama when Obama at least states what he plans to do. When others go to their Halloween parties dressed up as Palin or Clinton or Obama...I'm going to my Halloween party dressed up as a combination of Cooper/Larry King....I'm going as FARTFACE.
I love all these pronouncements from people about 'come on and post on my blog!'...I love them because I really like to see how many of these assholes really mean what they say....Larry King simply wants his ratings to go up but he doesn't give two-shits about what anyone else has to say...but I love checking out the lies and hypocrisy of shows that ask you to post when they don't give a shit about it...they only care about their ratings....and they have no intention to actually celebrate free speech and let everyone know what certain people think about the typical 'Larry King' bullshit.
McCain has made it sound like he would be the only one making decisions IF he would become president. Doesn't he realize that he would have a whole cabinet of people to help him? Maybe he missed the civics class that Sarah missed. She thinks that she will be running Congress. Someone should tell that Kings even have to people to advise them on issues.

Stein is so busted! - his comparison of Obama to Wallace was exactly as transparent and offensive as Huffington noted - & arrogant, dismal and moot.
re: Stein/Huffington interview:
Stein is so busted - His comparison of Obama to Wallace was hugely 'loaded', transparent and lame - exactly as Huffington noted - and arrogant, dismal and moot besides. 'Idiotic' is too kind.
If I wasn't so offended by the unsubstantiated accusations regarding Obama's "suspect" associations I would resolve that the McCain Campaign is scared out of the "right" mind that they are going to lose the White House. We saw these types of scare tactics during the Primaries when Clinton was hitting below the belt. It didn't work then and it won't work now. Obama has the new and improved Teflon suit! Obama '08
Larry, as I was channel surfing the other night, I happened to stop on the History Channel, I believe it was ... the story was about Seigfried Sassoon ... I caught the part about his letter of protest .... which I took the liberty of pasting here in this post ...
"A Soldier's Declaration"
I am making this statement as an act of wilful defiance of military authority, because I believe that the War is being deliberately prolonged by those how have the power to end it. I am a soldier, convinced that I am acting on behalf of soldiers. I believe this War, upon which I entered as a war of defence and liberation, has now become a war of aggression and conquest. I believe that the purposes for which I and my fellow-soldiers entered upon this War should have been so clearly stated as to have made it impossible for them to be changed without our knowledge, and that, has this been done, the objects which actuated us would now be attainable by negotiation.
I have seen and endured the sufferings of the troops, and I can no longer be a party to prolonging those sufferings for ends which I believe to be eveil and unjust.
I am not protesting against the military conduct of the War, but against the political errors and insincerities for which the fighting men are being sacrificed.
On behalf of those who are suffering now, I make this protest against the deception which is being practiced on them. Also I believe that it may help to destroy the callous complacence with which the majority of those as home regard the continuance of agonies which they do not share, and which they have not sufficienct imagination to realise.
Read before the House of Commons, July 30, 1917, printed in The London Times, on July 31, 1917.

Unfortunatly Senator Obama's decency has been construed as his weakness.
I am sure he considers it beneath contempt to comment on such derogatory remarks, made by the Governor of California, which sent another hero in a frency of sorts.
Come November 4, and these guys would be eating humble pie.

Hi Larry,
We in Canada watch the American politics more than we watched our own. Thanks to Senator Palin. Has anyone thought the reason she see far off places from her house is because she uses a powerful telescope. It wont be a tall story if she says she sees Venus and Mars from her house. Give her a break guys.
Sarah Palin has put America on the face of the Map. She is a comedian haven and a penthouse dream. She was would do better being silent and obsene. That will keep her along time in business. Politics is sure not for her.

Howdy Larry,
Sadness looms large, prelude to history being created.
Senator Obama,
Please accept our condolences on the untimely demise of your beloved grandmother. We pray for eternal peace for the departed soul.
Each moment of sadness is an indication of a fast approaching good tiding.
And each loss an indication of profit.
Your beloved GrandMother had taken it upon herself to ensure you are declared The President of
The United States.
She has now gone to Heaven to plead your case before GOD ALMIGHTY,
And she will win.
Just as America and the world at large, will get to experience what paradise is during your tenure as the President.

Thank you and your eminent team Larry .

Did you know that Massachusetts, the state where gay marriage was first legalized, is the state that holds the lowest divorce rate in the US? So much for gay marriage posing a threat to the sanctity of straight marriage.
one man, one woman in marriage. one sperm, one egg. child with genes of the one man and one woman. Gay marriage one egg from one "partner" and one sperm from "X" factor, if two women or one sperm from one partner and one egg from "X" factor if two men. Also a minority race shouldn't be based on sex. Being gay is a choice and it can be reversed. I'm african-american not by choice and I can't become white by choice.

You will be hearing from Sarah Palin again, if people want the truth, and straight talk, or the same old crap democrats try push down our throats. Obama picks people are retreads from Clinton years, I was never so broke with Clinton in office. People have such short memorys of 9-11. AIG still have trips planned to Jamaica, ans serveral cruises planned in the near future.
I think guy people should think about the future generation because if we all deecide to become guy what will happen to population. We should try to read and understand why soddom was destroyed. Two this is only common among christians because you cannot see it in other religiouse belivers. Is this the decay of christianity? if i may ask.
well i think this gay person is comfused mix up because why go back in to being a woman then back to a man that tells you somthing is wrong with her brain and you are a freak of nature going against God if your born a female then you should stay as a female
shame on that gay lady to play around with human nature she wants to be a man but now she is having a baby like a woman well she should have stayed as a female from the begining your going against God think about it its wrong and strange think!
We should not judge anyone. A Birth and Death is in the control of God. There are many problems and concerns with our children and of the world that we can help correct. Spend time on helping those less fortunate and let God do his job in judging. There are many heterosexual who cannot hold a marriage together. The homosexuals can hold a relationship together better than we can. If they love each other and want to get married, that is not our business as long as they have respect for themselves, children and others. Let those without sin cast the first stone.

Obama elect is doing a great job of selecting his cabinet and Hillary Clinton would be an asset to his presidency...it shows that he is not looking to the past just to who can do the best job and unite the people with his presidency! The government should not bail out the auto makers. In the last decade what was the combined compensation and bonuses paid out to the CEOs that are now begging for help. Corporations/financial institutions are painting a grim outcome if the tax payer does not bail out these institutions. Where the hell is OUR bail out?
We are not only running out of OIL, steel, copper, gold, corn, zinc is trading for +314 up from .35 must take our existing vehicle shells leather seats and all electronics, etc. manufacture a one size fits all engine to run on alternative fuels of nitrogen from our vast ocean with the hydrolysis, cows create methane no more leather, there are not enough junk yards to contain the dinos- birds are vanishing they make nitrogen...
I have endured 2 airline bankruptcies in my 28 year career. I am certain that if you had offered my CEO a bucket of money he would have gladly taken it and mismanaged that money just as he mismanaged the airline.I doubt that the CEO's at the auto industry are much different from the Airline CEO's who opperate with impunity and are so far removed from reality they can't possibly make a reasonable decision.Tell them all to get in their private jet and fly to the moon so we can stop paying them obscene salaries to do a bad job.
25 billion divided by 10 million jobs (what they fear we could lose if the big 3 go under)= $25,000 per worker. We can start by giving this bailout to workers, giving them a year to regroup until we restructure, as Michael Moore has suggested, by creating new jobs building new rail, public transport, green energy and infastructure. Better than giving it to the scam artist CEO's who will just fly off to Brazil in their private jets. What exactly are we "saving" if we give them the bailout? They are still making big, stupid cars nobody wants, and can't possibly recoup losses without asking for ever more money. Make all the corporate cronies PAY BACK what they have gotten in perks, salaries and bonuses, and/or serve jail time. It's the end of oil, and the end of run-away Capitalism. Ding, dong, the witch is dead!
I think the bail out is a bad ideal but a nessesary one, at the same time I think that they should be bailing us the normal person out to.If they want to give away money maybe they should stop and look at all the hungry people and at all the kids that wont get Christma this year.I know my grand kids wont get much becouse there dads have lost there jobs.So hey we can use some free money.
Why are the CEO's able to write these personal costs off for security reasons? Since when did the taxpayers become resonsible for any costs that come from private industry? These 'fat cats' do not even SEE anything wrong about what they've done & not done. Their entitlement seems to know no bounds! They must pay their lobbyists well.
The hearings of the "big three" was like watching a C movie---I can't believe that these fat cats were there begging for our money to save them from their own huge mistakes. I don't understand why our government doesn't require the recipients start at the top in trimming back huge salaries, executive privileges, outrageous perks, etc. How can the government commit our money without these assurances? Am I missing something?
We need to help out our auto industry, but only if bail money is specifically spent for new green R&D, retooling of plants producing energy efficient vehicles that get 30mpg AVERAGE, not highway and introducing major consumer incentives for new car purchases in the 30mpg+ sector. The Federal Govt. needs to start an ad campain with the auto companies that fuel efficient cars are the new cool thing to drive. As far as bankruptcy is concerned, nobody is going to buy a car from a company in bankruptcy, PERIOD!!!
I listened to the automakers make their pitch to the Senate committee and thought they made some really good points, i.e. they were in the process of downsizing, they have efficient cars to market, the employees have made concessions, the CEOs are willing to make concessions, they invite transparency. I was more impressed with these guys than with some of the ones on the committee. I would like to hear more, and I think Congress should stay in session. Maybe they can figure out how to exercise some control over the free-fall they enacted.
Larry, I think Mr. Moore is correct on allowing the big 3 to have the money to help save the jobs BUT we must tell them what to build and how to improve our transportation issue and move away from oil dependency. We cannot and will not help these car makers build cheap vehicles with foreign labor and sell it here in America for a huge profits. These auto makers have not made any progress towards better cars in over 20 yrs.
re Michael Moore Interview:
Have GM build wind turbines and solar panels at the rate they built B-17s in WWII, and we'll be energy independent in a decade. Good for the country, pocket book, environment and bad for the petro-dictators.
I agree with Michael Moore in that we should help the auto industry. But before congress gives a dime to them they should first fire all current executives without any golden parachutes or benefits, they don't deserve anything. Just think the 25 billion will go twice as far without having to pay those ridiculous salaries. We need to keep the workers on the line to avoid a economic nightmare and hope the "Big 3" can turn things around.
Hi Larry,
Quite some time no see, trust your well hip and happy.
Frankly I think the minority and the black angle should be put to rest once in for all.
Barack Obama has been elected as the next President of USA and you need to take things forward from there onwards not harping on his caste creed and religion and petty things which are likely to breed unpleasentness and diminish his accomplishments.
The difference of race is one of the reasons why war may always exist, because race implies difference, difference implies superiority and superiority leads to predominance.
There are no inferior races, all are destined equally to attain freedom.
The racial interpretation of history is an insight which will soon become self evident.
There is no evidence that there is any advantage in belonging to a pure race. The purest races now in existence are the Pigmies, the Hottentots, and the Australian aborigines.
And they are looked upon as specimens.
Barack Obama, the President elect has a monumental task ahead of him, will he be in a position to deliver? most of all will the team he selects be capable to administer the faith of the people of America, would they be able to save a sinking ship are the questions you and your team need to be adressing.
This probably will be my last comment on your blog.
I am not sure if you have read my earlier comments about a dozen of them for if you would have, you would not be questioning various personalaties about Obama's race and other shenanigans.
Thank you Sir Blog Author for being kind eneough to posting my comments.
Goodbye Larry and God bless.

I hope you will never forget that there is a parallel universe, and simply because you are not able to experience both in real time, the audacity of hope remains eternal.
I can top that I have been unemployend since the end of June! bail me out!
No on the bail-out, congress needs to let these companies go into bank ruptcy. they need to redo contracts with the UAW which is a big part of there problem, and of course the fact that they don't build good cars.
NO on the bail-out, over paid workers( they do not WORK a full 8 hours day), expensive unions, CEO's and "white collar" management with bank accounts with many millions of dollars.Let these companies go into bankrupcy!
NISSAN, HONDA,and TOYOTA build good quality cars in the USA.
thanks,

i say no to the bailout. if these guys were producing a vehicle that was worth purchasing an more reliable they wouldnt be in this situation. for instance why arent toyota , honda, an nissan crying for a bailout? An giving them the money just postpones their company from crashing then who is gonna suffer the effects of all that money? we the tax payers will while those CEO's are retired sitting on an island livin it up!

Before you close Guantanamo, make accountable Gorge Bush for the worst crime in humane history. He deserve like Saddam Hussein he`s own prison.
I would like Obama to look into the Insurance Companies and see why the people of the United States have to pay high premiums. because they go by your Credit Scores which I feel is very wrong what about our driving records dont they count for anything its just rediculous they need to cap the Insurance companies they are not going under now are they.they seem to be sitting just fine while all of us are going broke paying the high cost of Insurance. And health insurance is ridiculous also so please Mr President please look into the Insurance on all home, auto, and health. Thank You for being for the people you remind me of Kennedy for the people not goverment.
Elimanate capital gains tax on homes and the housing market will make a comeback
Did New York governor charge for naming new senator?
I haven't watch your show since they pulled that child out from that well..years ago. But I did catch Joy Behor..last night. She is dumb as rocks, my opinion, especially her broadcasting "comedians" won the election. Oh wow..that makes us look good as a country.
And she didn't ever know the pilots name that save those lives on the Hudson, yet she lives in NY? She needs to wake up to important issues.
Joy is a dud.
A Philippine based peace group wrote ex-Pres. Bush requesting for investigation of the alleged culpable negligence by FedEx management for allowing its local franchisee to run for public office in 2001 that led to providing material support to local communist guerillas – designated foreign terrorist organization by US and EU. Reportedly, the report was not given due attention by the past administration because the FedEx chair is a republican. The group hopes the said report would be given attention this time under the Obama administration.
