An Iraqi army medic has described a scene of horror to a US military hearing that will decide if four soldiers are to be court-martialled for the rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the killing of her family.The medic, who was not named, said that when he entered the house in Mahmudiya on March 12, he found 14-year-old Abeer Qasim Hamza al-Janabi naked with her legs spread and burned from the waist up, with a single bullet wound beneath her left eye.But it was just too much for the Grey Lady. All right, that's it. The stress must be getting to me. My brain appears to have turned to cabbage soup. It's the only explanation I have for my hallucinogenic perceptions of "Perfect Hair Forever," a new 15-minute animated short being added to Cartoon Network's already demented "Adult Swim" late-night block. This isn't a toon so much as a really disturbing acid flashback.
Even to try to describe it feels vaguely schizophrenic: A young, humorless, balding boy seeks the answers that will arrest his thinning hairline from a horndog mystic whom he calls "Uncle Grandfather" -- a bearded, shirtless, potbellied nut case of a mentor who openly lusts after a scantily clad girl named Brenda in a display that smacks of fairly blatant pedophilia. The boy, Gerald, encounters an annoying singing hot dog, a mock-menacing guy in a catsuit named Catman ("I'm gonna scratch your face off!") and the Inappropriate Comedy Tree, a tree that tells bad jokes and longs for acceptance.
Like I said, simply relating the details conjures images of some whacked-out David Lynch dream sequence -- except that by comparison, Lynch is far more grounded. The series comes from "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" writer-producer Matt Harrigan and embodies a piecemeal blend of rudimentary styles, including anime. It's less cartoon than cartoon parody, less funny than randomly outrageous, less shocking than simply incomprehensible. Compared to this, the network's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," which transforms fast food into superheroes, is positively mainstream.
"Perfect Hair Forever" leaves one wondering if maybe "Adult Swim" is growing too concerned with pushing the creative envelope into another dimension, too little with making something entertaining. This plays way too much like a film school project run amok.

Hot reason: A global manhunt launched by Johnson & Johnson has tracked to China counterfeit versions of an at- home diabetes test used by 10 million Americans to take sensitive measurements of blood-sugar levels.
Potentially dangerous copies of the OneTouch Test Strip sold by J&J's LifeScan unit surfaced in American and Canadian pharmacies last year, according to federal court documents unsealed in June. New Brunswick, New Jersey-based J&J, the world's largest consumer-health products maker, learned of the counterfeit tests after 15 patients complained of faulty results last September.
Tipped off by the company, the Food and Drug Administration issued a consumer alert without disclosing the link to China. No injuries were reported, but inaccurate test readings may lead a person with diabetes to inject the wrong amount of insulin, causing harm or death.

The Illinois based hedge fund management group, Sentinel Management Group, has asked regulators for permission to stop investors withdrawing funds from some Sentinel Management Group investment funds.
Sentinel Management Group have contacted the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and called for withdrawals to be frozen until Sentinel Management Group “can honor them in an orderly fashion”.
“Investor fear has overtaken reason and has induced a period in which most securities have simply ceased to trade,” according to the client letter, which does not specify which funds are affected.”
“We are concerned that we cannot meet any significant redemption requests without selling securities at deep discounts to their fair value and therefore causing unnecessary losses to our clients.”
Market analyst Sam Kirtley of The Gold Prices Newsletter said: “This shows how much fear is in the market at present. When investors get scared, they seek a safe haven and the best safe haven is gold and silver. This is why we have urged our readers to invest in gold and gold stocks to profits from the rush of investors that are going to come to gold to protect and preserve their capital.”
Sentinel Management Group is in charge of $1.6 billion according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last month.
As of yet, Sentinel Management Group have not had their request accepted.

VMware stock rose to as high as $55 a share before settling down to just over $50, 72 percent higher than its starting price of $29.
The company, a maker of virtualization software aimed at helping datacenters operate more efficiently, put 33 million shares on the market, which would yield $957 million at $29.
Virtualization software is designed to make a physical server act like multiple logical servers, improving server utilization by allowing IT managers to efficiently combine numerous computing resources on a single server.
VMware is talked about as one of the biggest IPOs (initial public offerings) of the year. It was founded in 1998 and was acquired by storage hardware vendor EMC in 2004 for $635 million. EMC decided earlier this year to sell 10 percent of VMware. The measured is designed to help EMC investors gain more value out of VMware and to provide stock-based compensation for VMware employees. However, EMC maintains majority ownership of VMware.
So those investors who were fortunate enough to buy some VMW stock when the VMware IPO initially opened are sitting on some very considerable gains in a very short space of time, 2 days to be exact.
The question of everyone’s mind is Will VMware stock keep going up?

Now that you have located your PC muscles, you can begin kegel exercises while your bladder is completely empty.
First, try squeezing your PC muscles while doing your basic kegel exercises as hard as you can for a count of three seconds. Then let them relax. To begin with kegel exercises, see how many times you can do this before the muscles feel tired.
Now figure out a suitable routine just as you would if you were trying to tone and strengthen a different muscle group by going to the gym every other day. For example, suppose you start by being able to do only five strong squeezes: try doing three sets of five once or twice a day for a week, and then try increasing your kegel exercises to three sets of eight strong squeezes.
If you work up to three sets of thirty or more strong squeezes, you are probably healthy enough for most purposes, and need only to maintain this level of fitness by doing these three sets of Kegel four times a week (instead of kegel exercises once or twice a day).
We also recommend that you experiment by varying the type and timing of the PC squeezing you do as you train these muscles: slow clenches, many quick flutters, and so on. This will make you more familiar with these muscles ? notice also when your abdominal muscles or your anal muscles feel like they also want to join in the Kegel exercises are being done improperly.
Remember, you should try to separate from anal squeezing. If you are in doubt, go back and find your PC muscle while attempting to urinate.

The Tao Te Ching, also Dao De Jing ( Traditional Chinese: 道德經 ), roughly translatable as The Book of the Way and its Virtue (see below), is a Chinese classic text. According to tradition, it was written around 6th century BCE by the Taoist sage Laozi (or Lao Tzu, "Old Master"), a record-keeper at the Zhou Dynasty court. The text's authorship and date of composition or compilation are still debated.
The Tao Te Ching is fundamental to the Taoist school (Daojia 道家) of Chines philosophy and strongly influenced other schools, such as Legalism and Neo-Confucianism. This ancient book is also central in Chinese religion, not only for Taoism (Daojiao 道教) but Chinese Buddhism, which when first introduced into China was largely interpreted through the use of Taoist words and concepts. Many Chinese artists, including poets, painters, calligraphers, and even gardeners have used the Tao Te Ching as a source of inspiration. Its influence has also spread widely outside East Asia, aided by hundreds of translations into Western languages.
The Wade-Giles romanization Tao Te Ching dates back to early English transliterations in the late 19th century, and some people continue using it. Sony has issued a recall on its Cyber-Shot DSC-T5 digital camera after identifying a manufacturing fault. Affecting cameras worldwide with serial numbers between 3500001 and 3574100, the fault relates to the metal skin covering the base of the camera. Due to an 'irregularity' in the adhesive bonding it to the substructure of the camera this is at risk of peeling away and presenting a sharp edge which may cut or scratch the skin of the user. Going by the recent IPO deals on the Nasdaq, such as WNS (which secured a valuation of five times its sales despite being a much smaller firm), and EXL Services, analysts expect Genpact, the largest BPO firm in the country with an employee base of about 26,000 and projected revenue of about $1.2bn in ’08, to command a higher valuation. Genpact has the potential to raise more than a billion dollars if it divests 18-20% of equity, they say. At $1bn, it will also be the largest ever initial offering from the country.
GE and private equity funds Oakhill Capital and General Atlantic Partners (GAP) are likely to make a killing once Genpact lists in the US. The two funds had bought 60% stake from GE in ’04, and in less than two years will multiply their investment by at least five times. “The returns for GAP and Oakhill will compare or may be even higher then the gains that Warburg Pincus made on its Bharti investment. It is a two-year-old investment and their returns are going to be really high. They won’t exit at the IPO, they will dilute their holding, and hold the remaining stake for a couple of years after the IPO,” said a private equity partner.
